The PGT Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to senior secondary classes (Grades IX–XII) as per the CBSE and CAIE (AS, A level) curriculum. The teacher is expected to build strong conceptual foundations, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills among students while upholding the spiritual and moral values that form the core of Akal Academy’s educational vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and engaging Mathematics lessons for senior classes (XI & XII).
- Teach topics such as Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Probability, Statistics, and other advanced concepts per CBSE guidelines.
- Design lesson plans and teaching aids that promote conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, and competitive exams like JEE, NDA, etc., as applicable.
- Conduct regular tests, analyze performance data, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and visualization of mathematical concepts.
- Encourage logical thinking, reasoning ability, and precision in mathematical expression.
- Support weaker students through remedial teaching and personalized attention.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, value-based learning environment.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, workshops, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and project-based learning initiatives.
- Incorporate the moral and ethical teachings aligned with the spiritual ethos of The Kalgidhar Trust.
Qualification & Experience:
- Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
- B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at Senior Secondary level in a CBSE-affiliated English medium school preferred.
- Experience in preparing students for board and competitive examinations will be an added advantage.
