PGT Maths

A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics is responsible for teaching mathematics to students in classes 11 and 12, typically following a curriculum such as CBSE, ICSE, or other state and international boards. The role involves planning and delivering clear, engaging, and conceptually strong lessons that help students understand complex mathematical topics and prepare effectively for board exams as well as competitive entrance tests like JEE, CUET, and Olympiads. The teacher is expected to assess students regularly through tests, assignments, and projects, provide constructive feedback, and offer remedial support where necessary. In addition to classroom teaching, the PGT Maths teacher participates in academic planning, curriculum development, and school events, working collaboratively with colleagues to foster a positive and challenging learning environment. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics along with a B.Ed., possess strong subject knowledge, effective communication skills, and a student-centered teaching approach. Familiarity with digital teaching tools and experience in coaching students for competitive exams is an added advantage.
