Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing accurate drug information, counseling patients, and ensuring regulatory compliance to deliver safe and effective pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
• Provide professional advice on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Counsel patients on medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and general health topics.
• Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy and safety.
• Ensure proper storage, security, and disposal of drugs.
• Maintain accurate patient and inventory records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or suggest alternative therapies.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Stay updated with new drug therapies, guidelines, and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist license in [State/Region].
• Proven experience as a pharmacist (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles).
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in pharmacy software and information systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Certification in immunization delivery (e.g., flu shots)
• BLS/CPR certification (if working in a clinical setting)
