Pharmacist

• Dispensing Medications: Accurately preparing, labeling, and distributing prescribed medications to patients.
• Patient Counseling: Providing clear instructions on medication use, potential side effects, proper storage, and adherence.
• Medication Therapy Management: Monitoring patient drug therapy for interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness, and providing advice to patients and healthcare providers. Preparing medications for inpatients, consulting with medical teams, and managing hospital pharmacy operations.
• Collaboration: Working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans.
• Inventory Management: Ordering, stocking, and maintaining an accurate inventory of pharmaceuticals and other supplies.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed and confidential patient records, pharmacy files, and records of controlled substances.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all operations and dispensing practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Essential Skills:
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical science, pharmacology, and drug interactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Attention to detail for accurate prescription handling and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in managing inventory and pharmacy software.
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
