Pharmacist

Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to verify prescription information and dispense prescribed medicines to Patients/Attenders as per the dosage, patient information
• Must communicate appropriately to patients/attenders and provide basic medication usage as per physician’s directions
• To validate if medicines are labelled accurately and safely supplied (pharmacists are legally responsible for any dispensing errors)
• To support in managing Pharmacy inventory. To receive and arrange/sort medicines received to the respective bins
• Must be able to check the stock levels and update on time. Must refill drugs on time and avoid stock out situations
• Must be able to coordinate with inter departments for pharmacy product transfers and procurement needs
• To dispose drugs which are taken from the patient as return, must validate expiry of drugs when assigned
• To prepare and organize OT kits and for IP wards by validating requirements accurately counting, measuring, and packaging medications based on prescriptions.
• To coordinate with doctors regarding prescriptions for better clarity and dosage
• Must be able to collect cash and deliver medicines over-the-counter. To ensure accurate billing details are entered with valid drug name and quantity.
• Must be able to support in storage of hazardous and non-hazardous Pharmacy products.
• Must adhere to Pharmacy regulations and safety protocols regarding medication handling and storage.
• Adheres to the rules and regulations of the SRH and NABH Norms
• Performs any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills and experience as required by the management.

Job Specifications

Diploma /Degree in Pharmacy – from recognized university

• Attention to detail: To ensure accuracy when handling medications and patient information
• Strong communication skills: Effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
• Basic pharmacology knowledge: Able to understand the effects and uses of different medications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
