Pharmacist

Role Overview

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions, counseling patients, and ensuring full compliance with pharmacy regulations. The role involves maintaining inventory, ensuring medication safety, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions.
• Dispense medicines as per legal and professional standards.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and precautions.
• Maintain stock levels, check expiries, and manage procurement needs.
• Ensure proper storage of medicines as per regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and follow all SOPs and legal requirements.
• Assist customers with OTC medicines and health-related queries.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the pharmacy.
• Support day-to-day operations and coordinate with doctors, suppliers, and staff.

Qualifications

• D.Pharm or B.Pharm (mandatory).
• Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
• Good knowledge of medicines, pharmacology, and drug regulations.

Skills Required

• Strong communication and patient-handling skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and billing software knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
