Pharmacist

Job Summary

Pharmacist's main responsibility is to ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law, ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable and advise patients about medicines this including how to take them, what reactions may occur, and answer patients' questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and execute physician’s prescriptions, checking their appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over delivery, stocks, and labels of medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues, and offer information and advice
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using the correct dosages and material for each individual patient
• Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding medication
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures
• Maintain pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Review professional publications and participate in professional societies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
• Proven experience as a pharmacist.
• Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications used by pharmacies.
