Job Summary

A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medicines to customers as per doctor prescriptions, ensuring safe medication practices, managing pharmacy stock, and providing proper guidance to patients in a retail medical store setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prescription Handling

  • Review and verify prescriptions issued by registered medical practitioners.
  • Dispense medicines accurately as per prescription.
  • Ensure correct labeling, dosage, and instructions.

2. Customer Service & Patient Counseling

  • Explain dosage, timing, and usage of medicines to customers.
  • Inform customers about possible side effects and precautions.
  • Suggest appropriate over-the-counter (OTC) medicines when needed.

3. Inventory Management

  • Maintain proper stock levels of medicines and healthcare products.
  • Check expiry dates regularly and remove expired medicines.
  • Arrange medicines systematically for easy access.
  • Place orders with suppliers and receive stock.

4. Regulatory Compliance

  • Follow Pharmacy Act and Drug Control regulations.
  • Maintain required registers (Schedule H, H1, X drugs if applicable).
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, refrigeration).

5. Billing and Documentation

  • Prepare bills and maintain sales records.
  • Maintain purchase invoices and stock registers.
  • Handle billing software or manual billing.

6. Store Maintenance

  • Keep pharmacy clean and organized.
  • Ensure medicines are stored safely and hygienically.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
