Pharmacist

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Registered Pharmacist to manage our newly opening Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra. As a Doctor-led initiative, we aim to provide high-quality, affordable generic medicines to the local community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and managing the government’s digital billing system.

Key Responsibilities Medicine Dispensing: Accurately read prescriptions and dispense generic medicines from the PMBI basket. Patient Counseling: Explain the efficacy and cost-benefits of generic medicines to patients and guide them on dosage. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track expiry dates, and place orders through the official portal. Digital Billing: Use the mandatory PMBI software for all sales and maintain daily transaction records. Compliance: Ensure the store adheres to all Kerala State Drugs Control Department regulations and PMBI guidelines. Store Maintenance: Oversee the proper storage of temperature-sensitive drugs (refrigeration) and maintain shop cleanliness.

Candidate Requirements Education: B. Pharm or D. Pharm from a recognized institute. Registration: Must hold a valid and active registration with the Kerala State Pharmacy Council (KSPC). Skills: * Basic computer proficiency (essential for billing). Fluency in Malayalam (essential) and basic English. Strong communication skills to handle patient queries about generic vs. branded drugs. Experience: Freshers with valid registration are welcome, but 1–2 years of experience in retail pharmacy is a plus.
