Pharmacist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, ensuring safe medication dispensing, and supporting patient health outcomes across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications.
  • Provide expert consultation on medication management, including compounding medications and preparing IV infusions using aseptic techniques.
  • Administer immunizations and support vaccination programs in accordance with medical guidelines.
  • Utilize pharmacy software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions and medication records precisely.
  • Manage inventory effectively, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and controlled substance accountability.
  • Collaborate with medical teams on acute care cases, pain management strategies, and complex medical management plans.
  • Support patient education initiatives by explaining medication usage, potential side effects, and safety precautions clearly.
  • Assist pharmacy technicians in daily operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards such as HIPAA and ensure aseptic techniques are followed during sterile preparations.

Qualifications

  • Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with proficiency in patient service, assessment, and medication therapy management.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric pharmacology.
  • Experience with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools.
  • Skilled in compounding medications, IV insertion, infusion therapy, and aseptic technique procedures.
  • Knowledge of immunizations administration protocols and medication safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $61.06 - $73.53 per hour
