Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy team with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure high-quality patient care and operational excellence
- Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparations, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety standards
- Manage inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or overstocking, utilizing pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems for accurate tracking
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Conduct patient assessments, provide medication counseling, immunizations, and support pain management initiatives in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, including pediatrics, critical care, and acute care cases
- Maintain thorough documentation of medication administration, patient care activities, and incident reports to support quality assurance efforts
- Oversee long-term care facilities
- Oversee tele-pharmacies and remote sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail pharmacy and ambulatory care with a strong understanding of acute care environments
- Critical care experience highly preferred; additional expertise in pediatrics and physiology enhances your candidacy
- Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with patient service focus, including medication therapy management and patient assessment skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools
- Hands-on experience with compounding medications using aseptic techniques; familiarity with IV insertion and infusion procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and immunization protocols to support comprehensive patient care
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical management practices within hospital or acute care settings

Pay: From $85.00 per hour
