Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to assist the owner with the daily operations of our pharmacy. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulations and standards. At Balbonis Drug Store, we are a family owned independent pharmacy that puts its customers and community first! The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to manage pharmacy operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
- Oversee medication dispensing processes, including verifying prescriptions and ensuring accuracy.
- Provide direct patient care services, including medication counseling and pain management strategies.
- Manage inventory effectively, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Implement aseptic techniques for sterile compounding and IV insertion as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize acute care outcomes for patients.
- Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance team performance.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and participate in continuing education.
- Improve daily workflow
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and pharmacy residency training is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Long Term Care experience is a plus.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and development.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
