Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician supports the operations of the Pharmacy Department in alignment with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct of College Hospitals. Responsibilities include assisting with the accurate preparation of solutions, filling medication orders, and maintaining medication inventory for patient care.

Shift Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and two weekends per month from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Job Qualifications:

• Current AZ Pharmacy Technician License.

• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Experience in I.V. admixtures, unit dose drug distribution, and computer entry preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong attention to detail.

Job-Specific Duties:

• Accurately prepare and label medication solutions and admixtures.

• Fill and process medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• Maintain proper inventory levels and storage conditions for medications.

• Assist with unit dose drug distribution.

• Complete data entry and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations.

• Provide customer service and support to patients and healthcare staff.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
