Responsibilities

• Greet patients and healthcare professionals warmly, providing courteous and efficient service at the pharmacy checkout
• Accurately process medication purchases, insurance claims, and other transactions using pharmacy point-of-sale systems
• Assist with intake procedures, including verifying patient information and updating records in accordance with medical terminology standards
• Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with administrative tasks such as inventory management, medication labeling, and documentation of medication administration
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to aseptic techniques when handling medications or supplies
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies related to patient privacy, medication handling, and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication instructions, including IV infusion procedures when applicable
