Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process prescriptions, retail sales, and returns with accuracy.
• Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service through active communication and friendly assistance.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash, credit card transactions, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves regularly, and ensure the pharmacy area is clean and inviting.
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and notifying supervisors of low inventory levels.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear and professional communication.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations while supervising or assisting new associates when needed.
• Promote pharmacy services and health products to customers in a knowledgeable manner, encouraging product demos when appropriate.

Experience

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is advantageous for leadership opportunities.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers confidently.
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments will support your success in this role.
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling, balancing registers, and retail math calculations.
