MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our team! MedScript is a long term care pharmacy that provides medications to patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehab centers, group homes, and other licensed healthcare facilities.
Available shift:
- Full-Time: Mon- Fri 2pm - 10:30pm, rotating every third weekend
This position also qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and rules related to Long Term Care pharmacy. The role for the Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician is to assist in pulling and filling medications for our patients. We ensure the highest quality standards of practice for our long term care facilities.
Primary Duties:
- Assist the pharmacist in pulling & filling medications
- Retrieve medications from stock and return after use
- Pull labels; affix label to product & fill prescription using a variety of packaging methods
- Count, measure, and pre-pack medications
- Use pharmacy software for barcode verification for prescription processing
- Fill, seal, and label blister cards using pharmacy automation such as the AccuFlex & DOSIS Systems
- Assist the pharmacist with PV2 override
- Work with other team members on missing labels and backorders
- Work as a team to sort medications to the specified routes
- Assist the Control Room Technician w/prescriptions for controlled substances which includes filling, packaging, labeling, toting, and properly documenting
- Follow established inventory procedures and manage out of stock issues
- Identify quality related errors and correct issues as necessary
- Stock pharmacy shelves with supplies
- Other duties and/or projects as required and assigned
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy Technician License required.
Experience:
This is an entry level position.
