Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medications to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting of drug usage.
  • Coordinate with hospital management for seamless healthcare services.
  • Ensure the availability of essential medicines and emergency drugs.
  • Monitor the proper storage and handling of medications.
  • Prevent medication errors by reviewing prescriptions for accuracy.
  • Implement hospital policies regarding drug administration and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to national and hospital pharmacy regulations.
  • Maintain proper records of controlled and high-risk drugs.
  • Prepare for internal and external pharmacy audits.
  • Ensure proper disposal of expired or unused medications.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing for cost-effective procurement.
  • Maintain inventory records and prevent wastage.
  • Implement systems to track drug usage trends and demand.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants.
  • Conduct training sessions on drug administration, new medications, and hospital protocols.
  • Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Work closely with doctors and nurses to ensure the correct use of medications.
  • Provide expert guidance on drug interactions, side effects, and dosages.
  • Participate in hospital meetings to discuss patient care and pharmacy-related issues.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory control.
  • Monitor the pharmacy budget and work on cost-saving strategies.
  • Prevent financial losses due to expired or unused drugs.
  • Implement policies to maintain high standards of pharmacy services.
  • Evaluate and improve medication safety protocols.
  • Stay updated with advancements in pharmaceutical practices and technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
