Duties

  • Prepare and stage medication orders for delivery to long-term care facilities.
  • Package and ship prescription medications in accordance with pharmacy regulations and company procedures.
  • Verify order accuracy, shipping documentation, and delivery schedules prior to dispatch.
  • Track medication orders throughout the shipping process and monitor delivery status to ensure timely receipt by facilities.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delayed deliveries, lost packages, and other transportation-related issues.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy staff, couriers, and facility personnel to address urgent delivery needs and maintain continuity of patient care.
  • Maintain inventory and shipping supplies while supporting daily pharmacy distribution operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy regulations, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous pharmacy, healthcare, warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify orders and shipping documentation.
  • Experience using shipping software, inventory management systems, and barcode scanning equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for resolving shipping and delivery issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when working with pharmacy staff, couriers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance standards preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and shipping materials as required.
