JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Purchase Pharmacy Executive supports the pharmacy procurement function by ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing of medicines and medical supplies. The role focuses on inventory control, vendor coordination, compliance, billing verification, and stock auditing across pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cost-effective procurement and inventory of pharmacy drugs and medical products.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure uninterrupted pharmacy operations.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to primary and alternate vendors (online/manual).
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, new drugs, and offers.
  • Ensure vendor compliance, payment follow-ups, and documentation accuracy.
  • Handle drug returns based on expiry calculations and stock movement.
  • Identify alternative brands or generic options for non-available medicines.
  • Perform pharmacy stock audits and inventory reconciliation.
  • Handle monthly general medicine procurement for all branches and follow-ups.
  • Maintain pharmacy purchase records, bulk bills, and Tally entries.
  • Follow up on credit and debit notes with vendors.

SKILLS

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Qualifications – Graduate / B pharm / D Pharm / M Pharm
  • Minimum 2 to 6 years experience in Pharmacy Purchase healthcare sector.
  • Work Location: KPHB
