JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Purchase Pharmacy Executive supports the pharmacy procurement function by ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing of medicines and medical supplies. The role focuses on inventory control, vendor coordination, compliance, billing verification, and stock auditing across pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost-effective procurement and inventory of pharmacy drugs and medical products.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure uninterrupted pharmacy operations.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to primary and alternate vendors (online/manual).
- Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, new drugs, and offers.
- Ensure vendor compliance, payment follow-ups, and documentation accuracy.
- Handle drug returns based on expiry calculations and stock movement.
- Identify alternative brands or generic options for non-available medicines.
- Perform pharmacy stock audits and inventory reconciliation.
- Handle monthly general medicine procurement for all branches and follow-ups.
- Maintain pharmacy purchase records, bulk bills, and Tally entries.
- Follow up on credit and debit notes with vendors.
SKILLS
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
QUALIFICATION:
- Qualifications – Graduate / B pharm / D Pharm / M Pharm
- Minimum 2 to 6 years experience in Pharmacy Purchase healthcare sector.
