Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary

The retail Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting. This role is essential to the daily operations of the pharmacy ensuring accuracy, compliance, and patient safety at every step of the dispensing process

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently
• Enter and verify patient and prescription data in the pharmacy management system
• Count, measure, and package medication in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Perform insurance adjudication and resolve billing issues or prior authorization
• Communicate with patients ,caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions
• Maintain proper inventory level, order supplies, and manage medication stock rotation
• Operate the pharmacy point-of-sale system and handle cash and card transactions
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Applicant must be fluent in Spanish ( preferred) ,hold an active California Pharmacy Technician License and have 1 + years of experience
• Proven pharmacy technician experience with familiarity in retail pharmacy operations
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, brand and generic medication names
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
