Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Duties:

1. Prescription Processing

• Receive and enter prescription orders into the system
• Verify patient information and prescription details
• Prepare and label medications for dispensing

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers and assist with prescription pick-up
• Answer general questions (non-clinical) about medications or pharmacy services
• Handle phone calls and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist

3. Medication Preparation

• Count, measure, or pour medications
• Select the correct medication and dosage form
• Package medications appropriately

4. Insurance and Billing

• Process insurance claims
• Resolve rejected claims (e.g., contacting insurance companies or requesting prior authorizations)
• Handle payments and manage copay collections

5. Inventory Management

• Stock shelves and check inventory levels
• Order medications and supplies
• Remove expired or damaged products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
