Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position is vital in a hospital setting, particularly within critical care and acute care departments.

Duties
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusions and other sterile products.
- Maintain accurate records of medication orders and patient profiles.
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques during the preparation of medications.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care outcomes.
- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices and patient care protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy work area.

Requirements
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting.
- Knowledge of critical care practices and acute care environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and IV infusion procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is a plus but not mandatory.
