Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Location: Boynton Beach FL

Job Type: Full time/Part Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM + occasional Saturday

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in non-sterile compounding, a strong commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compound customized medications (creams, capsules, suspensions, etc.) according to pharmacist instructions and established formulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment in accordance with USP <795>, and <800> standards.
  • Accurately label, package, and document compounded prescriptions.
  • Manage inventory of raw ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry, and patient communications as needed.
  • Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols to ensure patient safety and product integrity.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Active FLORIDA Pharmacy Technician License/Registration.
  • Minimum one Year of pharmacy technician experience (retail, hospital, or compounding).
  • Strong attention to detail, math skills, and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Preferred:
  • Prior compounding experience (non-sterile or sterile).
  • Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and beyond-use dating (BUD) guidelines.
  • Experience with compounding equipment (balances, ointment mills, MAZ mixers, etc.).
