Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position is essential in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in both acute care and critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices to ensure proper communication with healthcare professionals.
• Support IV infusion preparation and other specialized medication needs in a hospital environment.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols within the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care and medication management.
• Document medication orders accurately in accordance with established procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in acute care or hospital settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care.
• Experience with IV infusion techniques is a plus, enhancing the ability to support critical care needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare staff.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient service and safety within the pharmacy environment.
