Pharmacy Technician

Schaefer Drugs is hiring a full time position for a pharmacy technician. We are looking for a hard working and outgoing person to work full time. Must be licensed and registered as a pharmacy technician.

Job Duties:

• Operate all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners, and scales
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Answer any customer inquiries, and use your knowledge of store layout and product content to give directions as needed
• Assist customers with bagging and carrying products as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment, keeping register clear for incoming customers
• Assist the Pharmacist at all times to ensure that each customer has a positive shopping experience
• Follow company policies and procedures including: register performance, security issues, confidentiality
• Answer telephone calls and handle cash register transactions.
• Fill prescriptions according to orders from physicians, Inventory management including Rx and Otc Department.

Job Summary

A pharmacy technician is expected to and excel in the area of customer service. Regular duties of the technician are typing prescriptions, counting of filling scripts, and other normal duties of a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy compounding experience preferred but not required. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,400.00 - $51,000.00 per year
