Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate medication management, and providing exceptional patient service. Duties

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with medication intake, verification, and documentation to ensure proper medication management.
• Manage medication inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage conditions for all pharmaceuticals.
• Provide excellent patient service.
• Maintain detailed records of medication preparation, dispensing activities, and patient interactions in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Help with cleaning and inventory management both in the pharmacy department and the OTC area.

Skills

• Proven pharmacy technician experience with a focus on retail pharmacy environment
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
• Critical care experience that demonstrates ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
• Familiarity with intake procedures, medication documentation, and proper filing of paperwork.
• Ability to properly bill insurance companies and adapt to common issues that arise while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

We are looking to make an immediate hire of someone with pharmacy technician experience who is already licensed or can renew their license immediately. Must have no prior criminal history, be able to pass a background check, and drug test. Pharmacy Technician Certification not required. Your work schedule would be:

Monday: 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
Tuesday: 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
Friday: 8:45 am - 4:30 pm
Every other Saturday: 8:45 am - 12 pm
Sunday: Closed
