Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Accurately enter prescription information into pharmacy computer systems.
• Label, package, and organize medications for patient pickup.
• Process insurance claims and verify patient information.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and directing patients to the pharmacist when necessary.
• Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, ordering medications, and checking expiration dates.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations set by the Food and Drug Administration and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Keep the pharmacy workspace clean and organized.

Core Technical Skills

• Medication preparation and dispensing
• Understanding of prescription terminology (SIG codes)
• Knowledge of dosage calculations and measurements
• Inventory management and stock rotation
• Familiarity with pharmacy software (e.g., dispensing systems, EHRs)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
