The Pharmacy Technician at Highlands Pharmacy plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacist by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and performing non-sterile compounding. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in non-sterile compounding, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Data entry and filling of prescriptions.
- Pulling stock, pouring, counting, restocking, packaging, labeling and pricing the prescription.
- Provide quality customer service by greeting guests as they enter the pharmacy, keeping the pharmacy clean and inviting and answering the phone in a courteous manner.
- Assisting customers with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Assist in checking and removing out-of-date product as instructed by the pharmacist.
- Order, receive, rotate and store product to assure quality controls.
- Reconcile daily merchandise orders.
- Answer phones professionally and answer any customer questions ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance of federal HIPPA regulations.
- Maintain all product labels, signs and prices aligned with product.
- Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report hazards to store management.
- Perform price checks for guests and team members, as needed.
- Operate the cashier terminal and the credit card machine when checking our guests; collect proper payment for merchandise.
- Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance
- Earns and maintains state technician registration certification
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Required)
- Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Florida
- Effective computer and keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
