Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring patient care is prioritized. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and the ability to work effectively in a retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
• Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions regarding medications and their administration.
• Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage conditions are maintained.
• Stay updated on pharmacy policies, procedures, and relevant medical terminology to enhance service delivery.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
• Proficient in patient care techniques and effective communication skills.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate medication preparation and dispensing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician (Required)
• PTCB Certification (Preferred)
