Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for an energetic individual to provide excellent customer service to our LTC patients and facilities at our closed door pharmacy. Hiring preference for candidates with CPhT. We will provide on the job training and access to Pharmacy Technician University to assist the right individual to obtain their Pharmacy Technician Certification. Characteristics would include detail oriented, good math skills, proficient at following procedures and written instructions. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. A positive attitude and a desire to be part of a high functioning team are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacists to prepare and dispense medications
• Receiving and confirming prescription orders
• Accurately prepare and distribute patient medications
• Enter refill and new prescriptions with Pharmacist review
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians, clinics, and their staff
• Work directly with patients and providers to collect accurate patient information
• Answers telephone calls and answer questions
• Follows standard operating procedures of the store
• Receives written prescriptions or telephone requests
• Prepares patient intake documentation
• Informs patient/responsible party of any financial responsibility and the billing process
• Managing inventory and preforming organization tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• pharmacy: 1 year (Preferred)
• customer service: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
