Pharmacy Technician (part time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in various tasks related to medication management and patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within hospital and acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care in critical care settings.
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, including inhalation techniques when necessary.
• Perform routine quality control checks on medications and equipment within the pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance within the pharmacy environment.
