Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within local community pharmacy setting.
Part time would be 2 - 10hr days per week 1 week then 2 - 10hr days plus Saturday 5hrs the other week.
Full time is alternating 4 full 10hr days 1 week then 3 full 10s plus 2 5hr days including saturday.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure optimal patient service.
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide critical care support and enhance patient outcomes.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold pharmacy standards.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; relevant experience in a community pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, medication administration, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
