Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician Program Instructors to lead and inspire the next generation of pharmacy professionals. Duties
- Design and develop engaging curriculum materials aligned with industry standards and accreditation requirements, incorporating research-backed teaching strategies.
- Deliver interactive lectures and laboratory sessions focused on topics such as medical terminology, pharmacy software applications, compounding medications, acute pain management, and patient assessment.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize course content, track student progress, and facilitate online learning components.
- Conduct research to stay current with advancements in clinical pharmacy practices, pharmacy residency programs, and higher education teaching methodologies.
- Provide hands-on training in pharmacy software systems and laboratory techniques related to medication preparation and pain management protocols.
- Assess student performance through examinations, practical assessments, and participation to ensure mastery of core competencies.
- Support students’ professional development by mentoring them through classroom experience, adult education techniques, and real-world clinical scenarios.
Qualifications
- Must have a Pharmacy Tech certification (CPhT) from PTCE or ExCPT.
- Must Have a valid Pharmacy Tech License from IDFPR
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with a strong background in pharmacy software, compounding medications, and clinical pharmacy practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for higher education or adult learners within a pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery and student tracking.
- Experience conducting research or staying current with industry trends related to pain management, acute care, and patient assessment.
- Prior teaching experience in a classroom or laboratory environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy software applications used in clinical settings.
- Strong laboratory experience with medication preparation, compounding techniques, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to motivate adult learners through engaging instructional methods.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
