Pharmacy Technician, Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician, Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports MedMinder Pharmacy’s compliance and licensing operations by ensuring adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations. This role is responsible for coordinating regulatory submissions, maintaining accurate compliance records, monitoring regulatory changes, and supporting internal processes that uphold operational excellence and patient safety.

This individual will work closely with the CQI Manager, Pharmacist in Charge and cross-functional teams to manage regulatory timelines, facilitate inspections and audits, and strengthen relationships with regulatory agencies. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist also plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, compliant pharmacy operations across all service lines and states.

  • Shift hours: 9am-5pm Eastern Time, Mondays through Fridays

This role is Hybrid – Training will be in person with a requirement to be in office 4 days a week. After the training period, the regular schedule will be 2 days in office and 3 days working from home. Additional in office days also may be required for team meetings or trainings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory applications and notifications, such as state licenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of regulatory submissions and approvals.
  • Track and manage regulatory timelines and deadlines.
  • Assist the SOP committee with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assist the Pharmacist in Charge to ensure the pharmacy remains compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Manage regulatory inspections, audits, and interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Serves as a primary contact to maintain and foster effective relationships with regulatory agencies and experts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance status.
  • Review and analyze regulatory submissions for accuracy and completeness. Respond to regulatory inquiries and requests for information.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory developments and industry trends to best support MedMinder in taking full advantage of current regulations.
  • Conduct research and analysis on regulatory topics as needed.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide operational and production support within the pharmacy as needed, including prescription fulfillment, inventory management, billing support, and other pharmacy workflow activities in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Must have Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Pharmacy Technician Association (NHA)
  • 2+ Years of Experience in a retail or fulfillment pharmacy
  • Experience with pharmacy law, regulatory affairs, and compliance in a pharmacy setting
  • Must be compassionate, courteous and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule maintaining availability during the day, evening and weekend as needed
  • Detail oriented and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency with CRM and a desire to learn proprietary software applications
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Responsible for continuing education credits necessary to maintaining licensure
