PHLEBOTOMIST

• Inform patient about precautions/necessary pre-requisite for the test, and inform the date and

Time for collection of the report.

• Confirm name, age, etc. ensuring proper identification of specimens/person.

• Ask question from patient or their doctor whenever not sure.

• For special tests - instruct patient/customer about the do's and don'ts prior to test.

• Collection of samples from customers.

• Proper labeling of samples.

• Make entries in collection register.

• Ensure proper recording and identification of samples.

• Distribution of samples with work sheet/requisition slips to respective departments.

• If any test is not performed - patient/referring doctor must be informed.

• Ensure proper housekeeping of his place of work.

• Carry any other tasks as instructed by the seniors.
