Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory team. This versatile role involves collecting urine specimens from clients, and also observing the entire urine collection process, across various departments, ensuring adherence to laboratory standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, familiarity with laboratory techniques, and experience in specimen collection within clinical or research settings.

Duties

  • Observe and Collect urine specimens from patients in accordance with established protocols, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  • Assist with specimen processing, documentation, and storage following laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain strict aseptic techniques during specimen collection to prevent contamination.
  • Support laboratory management by organizing supplies and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection for diagnostic testing.
  • Venipuncture

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of laboratory management, techniques, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and other specimen collection methods.
  • Experience with hospital or healthcare settings is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures related to specimen handling and processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Phlebotomy Certification

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
