Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our biological dental practice. This role focuses on venipuncture and blood processing to support platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) protocols and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, maintains adherence to safety protocols, and is passionate about patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws for PRF preparation and other adjunctive surgical procedures
  • Prepare and process blood using centrifugation protocols to produce PRF (e.g., L-PRF, A-PRF, i-PRF)
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and timely processing of all specimens
  • Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after blood draws to ensure safety and comfort
  • Assist clinical team during surgical procedures as needed (chairside support, setup, breakdown)
  • Maintain and sterilize equipment, including centrifuges and phlebotomy tools
  • Document procedures accurately in patient records
  • Educate patients on PRF procedures and answer basic questions within scope
  • Manage inventory of phlebotomy and PRF-related supplies

Qualifications

  • Certification in Phlebotomy (required)
  • Minimum [1–2] years of phlebotomy experience (medical or dental setting preferred)
  • Experience with PRF protocols or willingness to be trained
  • Strong understanding of venipuncture techniques and patient safety
  • Knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
