Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our biological dental practice. This role focuses on venipuncture and blood processing to support platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) protocols and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, maintains adherence to safety protocols, and is passionate about patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood draws for PRF preparation and other adjunctive surgical procedures
- Prepare and process blood using centrifugation protocols to produce PRF (e.g., L-PRF, A-PRF, i-PRF)
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and timely processing of all specimens
- Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards
- Monitor patients before, during, and after blood draws to ensure safety and comfort
- Assist clinical team during surgical procedures as needed (chairside support, setup, breakdown)
- Maintain and sterilize equipment, including centrifuges and phlebotomy tools
- Document procedures accurately in patient records
- Educate patients on PRF procedures and answer basic questions within scope
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy and PRF-related supplies
Qualifications
- Certification in Phlebotomy (required)
- Minimum [1–2] years of phlebotomy experience (medical or dental setting preferred)
- Experience with PRF protocols or willingness to be trained
- Strong understanding of venipuncture techniques and patient safety
- Knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
