Duties

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, ensuring minimal discomfort for patients
• Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, following strict aseptic and safety protocols
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to foster trust and cooperation
• Record vital signs and relevant patient information with attention to detail
• Maintain proper specimen labeling, handling, and transportation to ensure integrity and traceability
• Adhere to infection control standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and sterile techniques
• Assist with other laboratory procedures as needed, supporting overall clinic or hospital operations

Experience

• Prior laboratory experience or clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required; training provided for qualified candidates
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen collection, and processing methods essential for success in this role
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology enhances your ability to perform effectively
• Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings is advantageous, demonstrating your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for building trust and ensuring comfort during procedures

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
