We are seeking a customer service oriented phlebotomist to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the lab collection facility running smoothly. We are looking for someone with a bubbly personality and who is sale-oriented.
Any Lab Test Now is a walk-in retail location that provides customers with the opportunity to take control of their health. We provide thousands of blood tests, paternity testing, drug screens and background checks. We service consumers as well as business customers.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Scheduling appointments
- Draw blood, conduct drug testing, and/or background screening
- Disinfects, cleans lab draw stations and private consultation rooms following patient interaction
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Keep rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required; Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures)
- Serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood samples and other specimens, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures
- Verifies test requisitions
- Verifies patient identification and explains sampling procedures to patients
- Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures, and observing isolation procedures.
- Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection and maintaining daily tallies of collections performed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields is a requirement.

- Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Quickbooks is desirable

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required
- Prior work experience with Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp is a plus
Work Environment:
- Environmentally controlled laboratory and medical office environment
- Fast paced environment with occasional high pressure
- Frequent exposure to bodily fluids
- Possible exposure to infectious specimens, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to a laboratory and medical office environment
- May wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves or a mask
- Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, and other members of the public

- Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:00pm
- Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
