Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week (7.5 Hours per Day)
Pay Rate: $29/hour

Available Shifts

• 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM (2 openings)

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1 opening)

• 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (1 opening)

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection in a fast-paced hospital environment.

This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and specimen integrity. The Phlebotomist ensures accurate collection, labeling, processing, and transport of specimens in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages

• Collect, label, and process blood specimens accurately

• Maintain proper documentation according to facility policies

• Follow infection control and safety protocols

• Verify patient identification and ensure specimen integrity

• Provide professional and compassionate patient care

• Support laboratory workflow

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in:

  • Hospital

  • Commercial Laboratory

  • Blood Bank setting

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program

• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)

• AHA BLS Certification
