About the Role

We are a busy, state-of-the-art oral surgery clinic in Plano, Texas, seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team.

Phlebotomy is the core skill we need — you will be responsible for starting IVs for IV sedation preparation. We will provide full, hands-on training to turn you into a confident oral surgery assistant. If you are a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working in a clinical setting and wants to expand your career into oral surgery, this is an excellent opportunity.

You’ll work directly with our oral surgeon in a modern, patient-focused environment where comfort, accuracy, and safety are priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts, and other diagnostic needs with a high level of patient comfort and minimal discomfort.

• Monitor and record patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures.

• Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures (full training provided).

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterile fields, and follow strict infection control standards.

• Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients.

• Support daily clinic operations, patient intake, and maintain a clean, organized treatment environment.

• Help with inventory management and supply ordering as needed.

Requirements

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent with strong, proven phlebotomy experience required.

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional phlebotomy experience (hospital, clinic, lab, or outpatient setting).

• Excellent venipuncture skills with the ability to handle difficult draws calmly and successfully.

• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain immediately).

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to patient comfort and safety.

• Good communication skills and a calm, reassuring bedside manner.

• Ability to work full-time Monday–Friday in a fast-paced surgical clinic.

• Prior dental or surgical assisting experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate.
