Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture using proper aseptic techniques.
• Prepare and process laboratory specimens accurately, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Maintain strict adherence to laboratory procedures, safety protocols, infection control standards and cleanliness of lab.
• Document all procedures thoroughly in patient records while respecting confidentiality.
• Support the clinical team by performing basic laboratory techniques and ensuring the cleanliness of work areas.

Experience

• Prior experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling.
• Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood sampling) and phlebotomy is essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Experience working in hospital or outpatient clinics will be advantageous.
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
