Job Summary

Duties
- Collect blood samples via venipuncture and skin puncture using proper aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens accurately, adhering to established protocols for labeling, storage, and transportation.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates for patient assessments.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, including patient examinations and basic diagnostic tests.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace following infection control standards and laboratory safety procedures.
- Document patient information, test results, and procedural details clearly in electronic health records.
- Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling processes.
- Proven experience in laboratory techniques and clinical laboratory settings.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and effective communication.
- Proficiency in specimen collection methods such as venipuncture and blood sampling.
- Ability to accurately take vital signs and understand physiology fundamentals.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe practice.
- Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly desirable to thrive in this role.
