Duties

  • Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture using proper aseptic technique and physiology knowledge
  • Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and handling
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assist clinicians in patient assessments
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, including patient positioning and maintaining sterile environments
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient information, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures in compliance with protocols
  • Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during visits
  • Support laboratory operations by adhering to laboratory techniques and safety standards to ensure quality control

Requirements

  • Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen processing within a clinical or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory safety protocols
  • Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood sampling), phlebotomy, and blood collection techniques
  • Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic patient care practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
  • Certification or training in phlebotomy or medical assisting preferred but not required; relevant hospital experience is highly valued

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
