Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support within a clinical setting. This position involves performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility while delivering high-quality service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection and processing, including blood sampling and venipuncture.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Conduct laboratory procedures and techniques, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functionality and availability.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology in daily tasks.
- Support administrative duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including phlebotomy and specimen collection/processing.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure safety during procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
