Requirements<ul><li>
Perform skilled venipuncture procedures on diverse patient populations</li><li>
Collect blood samples using various techniques (straight needle, butterfly, etc.)</li><li>
Practice thorough patient identification using VA's two-identifier system</li><li>
Respond professionally to patient concerns and questions</li><li>
Handle special collection requirements for specific tests</li><li>
Assist patients with mobility challenges</li><li>
Process and prepare specimens for testing or transport</li><li>
Maintain proper storage conditions for specimens</li><li>
Use VA's electronic health record system for order management and documentation</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Current Phlebotomy Certification</li><li>
Current BLS Certification</li><li>
2+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience</li><li>
Strong computer skills</li><li>
Excellent patient care abilities</li></ul></div>
