The Phlebotomy Supervisor:
Mobile Phlebotomist Responsibilities
- Create teams weekly schedule
- Phlebotomist will travel to offsite client locations to obtain blood samples as required
- Phlebotomist responsible for gathering mandatory information from patients and verifying patient identity
- Phlebotomist must understand phlebotomy procedures and what specimen type is required for each test
- Phlebotomist will adhere to strict medical standards and practices to ensure that collected patient samples are reflective of patient condition
- Phlebotomist will accurately label specimens
- Phlebotomist will transport blood samples to laboratories for testing and processing, ensuring integrity of specimens is maintained
- Phlebotomist must follow all safety and infection control practices as required
Mobile Phlebotomist Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a post secondary education phlebotomy program is advantageous
- 2 or more years Phlebotomy experience with geriatric and disabled patients preferred
- Phlebotomist must provide his/her own transportation and be able to travel from location to location and perform phlebotomy procedures in skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Phlebotomist must have a valid drivers license and valid insurance/registration
- Phlebotomist must pass a drug screen and background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
