At Fem Boudoir, we create a luxury, empowering photography experience for women across the Bay Area. Our all-female team specializes in helping clients reconnect with their confidence through a fully guided photoshoot experience—including professional hair & makeup, posing, and a same-day image reveal.

We’re a fast-growing studio focused on both artistry and experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Photo Editor & Client Experience Designer—someone who has a strong eye for images and also enjoys working with people.

This role is editing-focused first, with a client-facing component where you’ll guide clients through selecting their images and artwork after their session.

You’ll help clients fall in love with their images and confidently guide them through their options.

What You’ll Do

• Cull and prepare images for same-day viewing
• Apply consistent editing and basic retouching adjustments
• Maintain a clean, efficient workflow during sessions
• Guide clients through their image reveal and selection process
• Help design albums and recommend artwork
• Provide a warm, elevated, and supportive experience
• Process orders and finalize purchases

Who This Is Perfect For

• Someone with experience or strong interest in photo editing (Lightroom preferred)
• Has a great eye for lighting, composition, and image selection
• Enjoys working with people and creating meaningful experiences
• Confident making recommendations without feeling “salesy”
• Organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Who This Is NOT For

• Someone who prefers fully remote or behind-the-scenes work only
• Someone uncomfortable in a client-facing, body-positive environment

Requirements

• Weekend availability (required)
• In-person role in Concord, CA
• Experience with Lightroom (or similar editing software)
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Reliable, professional, and positive attitude

Compensation

• Base pay: $25/hour
• Commission on client purchases
