Photographic Retoucher / Editor at Studio

We are a group of established photographic studios specializing in fashion and model shoots. Your role is to use the Adobe suite to edit, enhance, and retouch photographs of models as they are being shot on set.
The Photo Studio Group is currently seeking part time freelance photo editors to join our expanding visual team in Nashville. This position calls for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who loves to collaborate with photographers to create portfolios for our clients. You are someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and is comfortable with non-traditional work hours. This role thinks strategically about how to identify the most impactful images to drive value for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside and provide editing and file transmit support for photographers for our image consultants.
• Use insightful judgment to identify and edit the most impactful photographs ensuring that we are providing the highest quality images to our clients.
• Create and edit photographs for accuracy and impact.
• Prioritize image selection and transmit with consideration for the customers and deadlines.
• Maintain full awareness and interest in global entertainment and celebrity events, news, trends, fashions, and celebrities.
• Maintain full understanding of the client base, expected deadlines and image preferences.

Requirements:

• Hands-On: You should love rolling up your sleeves and working alongside the team.
• 2+ years of professional event-based photo editing experience.
• Proficient at creating and editing client images.
• Passionate enthusiasm for entertainment and related media.
• Exceptional at achieving time-sensitive production goals while managing multiple priorities and imminent deadlines.
• Available to work non-traditional schedules including evenings and weekend shift work.
• Expertise working with industry standard image editing tools and processes (including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Light-room).
• Experience collaborating with photographers in high-activity fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communicator, decisive, deadline-driven, people-oriented person.
• Proficiency in Mac based systems and applications.

You would be scheduled in to work between 5 and 12 days a month around your schedule. Being able to work on weekends is essential. Reliability and punctuality are important. The studios are open from Monday through Sunday.

Pay is twice a month, no withholding, as an independent contractor, at the rate of $150.00 - $175.00 a day. Start date would be in early September.
