The Photography Assistant supports the lead photographer with image editing, client communication, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Up to 10 hours per week as of June. Hours may increase depending on the number of sessions booked. The owner will communicate any schedule changes in advance.
COMPENSATION:
This role is commission‑based. You’ll start at 35% commission on all eligible sales connected to your work, beginning the day you sign the employment agreement.
Commission is calculated from net sales (after taxes, refunds, and discounts), as well as any expenses in correlation with a specific session.
As a growing small business, our compensation structure may evolve over time. If adjustments are made, your commission rate will never drop below 35%.
Commission payouts are issued weekly once client work is completed and paid. This is a 1099 independent contractor position.

Lafayette, IN (hybrid/remote editing possible)
*For photo sessions held outside Lafayette, IN, all assisting team members of NH Photography will travel together in one company-designated vehicle to the shoot location.

NH Photography is looking for a dedicated, consistent, and leadership-oriented individual to fill the role of a Photography Assistant. The ideal applicant is actively looking for growth and to fill an ownership role, as a future promotion may have the potential to move into expanded leadership responsibilities as the business grows. The ideal applicant also has a flexible schedule, willing to put more time in weekly if needed as more sessions get booked.
